Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of business and/or product development, marketing, or sales experience within the insurance, healthcare, or computer-related environment
  • 5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, and/or capture experience, effectively positioning IT solutions to government and commercial entities or other related support and services
  • Must be very familiar with following the Shipley model
  • Experience working with tech leads, operations leads, CTOs, CFOs, etc.
  • Experience working with DoD, DHA, NIWC, and Seaport
  • Knowledge of marketing and/or consultative sales principles, techniques, and the healthcare IT marketplace
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions to ensure targeted new business is awarded to company
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, and influence others
  • Ability to negotiate subcontracting/partner agreements
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates to development of new business as needed to grow revenue for the company within identified markets and solutions
  • Identifies, pursues, and wins new business
  • Develops and recommends account plan and marketing approaches, and related changes as needed to reach sales goals and objectives
  • Prospects and develops leads leading to requests for proposals (RFPs) and sole source opportunities across government and commercial markets
  • Develops proposals and marketing materials to support company’s competitive value proposition in the market
  • Works across various functional areas to provide an integrated approach to the development, analysis, and delivery of new business proposals
