Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting, math/finance OR associate degree in computer science, accounting, math/finance plus 2 years of job-related auditing work experience and certification OR 4 additional years of job-related auditing work experience plus certificate (CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP)
  • 3 years of information system (IS) auditing and reporting work experience
  • NIST 800-53-based auditing experience
  • Experience creating audit working paper
  • Experience in IS audit operating systems
  • Knowledge/experience with database/software
  • Ability to identify risks and evaluate internal controls within IS environment
  • Knowledge of data security concepts and disaster recovery
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence
  • Excellent analytical or critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities


  • Conducts timely IS audits
  • Drafts written reports upon completion of each audit assignment
  • Evaluates IS division projects from a risk and control perspective
  • Makes recommendations concerning risks and controls
  • Serves as project lead for the more complex reviews of information systems
  • Assigns tasks to other staff members and reviews their work
  • Participates in special projects as assigned by management
  • Assists external auditors in completing their audit tasks as a means of maximizing audit efficiency
