Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages
  • Support existing applications and business partners
  • Adhere to, promote, and help maintain development standards and best practices; participate in regular code reviews
  • Must be a strong team player with good communication skills demonstrating the ability to work well with developers, QA team members, and management to support all areas of the Agile SDLC approach
  • Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization; contribute to acceptance/functional testing duties and part of incremental feature development
  • Participate in peer reviews and unit testing, and must be adaptable to different responsibilities, possess strong communications skills, and have a passion for constantly improving the individual and team effectiveness
  • Design, build, and test web-based applications and edit site content for various components using content management system (CMS)
  • Create and manage web pages, add/edit content, and upload/remove documents using CMS
  • Maintain website standards and comply with predefined design guidelines
  • Utilize best practices in web screen design and learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements
  • Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements

Required Skill Sets:

  • Position will require the ability to obtain a public¬†security¬†clearance
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Integrate technical and application architecture requirements
  • Spring framework concepts and Spring Boot
  • REST and SOAP web services
  • Authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth)
  • Multithreading (concurrency)
  • JMS, schedulers, workflow engines
  • Git, Maven, CI/CD
  • Hibernate, Oracle, and Postgres databases
  • Unit and functional testing
  • Agile development experience
  • J2EE experience
  • Docker, orchestration using Kubernetes
  • AWS Cloud, Apache Kafka
  • Logging aggregators (EFK or ELK)
  • Splunk, SonarQube, JMeter
  • Data transformation across systems
  • BS and Java

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience in Fortify, SCA tools, and DAST
  • SAFe development experience
  • Experience with JBPM
  • .NET, ASP, SharePoint, Tuxedo, C++
