Job Description


  • Bachelor’s degree required, human resources management major (or related field) preferred
  • 4 years of experience in Human Resources with deep HRIS experience
  • SPHR or PHR certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Oracle HCM and advanced proficiency in database management and security
  • Back-end system knowledge in Oracle
  • Experience writing reports in Oracle and with mortification workflows
  • Experience with SQL coding
  • HRMS administration experience (back-end) and testing experience (BA experience)
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient in MS Office (Access skills preferred)


  • Works in close collaboration with all HR functional areas to ensure HR department success is fully supported by HRIS systems
  • Ensures data integrity, compliance, and consistent practices are aligned and performed while ensuring system security and system maintenance
  • Provides functional documentation, consulting services, and training for HR staff and end users of HRIS
  • Addresses system questions and technical issues, writes reports, runs queries, and analyzes data
  • Works closely with internal technical support and external vendors to represent the client associations and HR department’s needs and address complex troubleshooting challenges to provide viable solutions
  • Uses in-depth knowledge of internal systems, processes, and data structure to help resolve issues
  • Acts as a thought leader partner and subject matter expert (SME) for HR technology
  • As an SME for Oracle HCM, serves as senior-level liaison between human resources, payroll, benefits, learning and development, and internal IT departments, as well as external technical support vendor teams, to provide systems support, thought leadership, and analysis and to leverage technology solutions, drive change and enhancements to meet the needs of HR and users of HR technology throughout the organization
  • Takes an SME role in requirements gathering, planning, and testing for system implementations and upgrades
  • Evaluates effectiveness of HR technology systems and makes recommendations for changes and system maintenance
  • Works with external vendors and internal teams on the implementation of new functionality, as well as the upgrade of system versions
  • Partners with HR staff to support the effective administration of key HR business process and services through the use of HR technology
  • Supports all types of HR, benefits, and payroll projects as a systems expert
  • Researches system-related questions to enable users to effectively use and maintain data while driving process improvement
  • Maintains HRIS and performs routine data audits and analysis
  • Researches and resolves HRIS problems, unexpected results, and process flaws
  • Performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • Communicates issue resolution to end users
  • Creates, runs, maintains, and distributes routine and ad hoc reports
  • Ensures that all appropriate reports are processed and distributed/shared to applicable recipients

Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC — Will be onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
