Data Modeler

We’re hiring a Data Modeler to be responsible for working with business teams to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models, reverse-engineer models from existing systems, and translate business objectives into future state models.

Qualifications:

• Ability to quickly learn operational processes, delivery, and revenue models
• Work with client data sources and create data requests
• Ability to collaborate with data engineers to develop and utilize the ETL process to ingest and enrich structured and unstructured data
• Ability to contribute to creating dashboards and interactive tools to support clients to turn their data into actionable insights and reproducible reports
• Experience using ERWin or ER/Studio and Visio
• Experience creating, updating, and maintaining ERDs and star schema models and maintaining metadata; such experience is typically gained over a 3-5 year career as a data modeler
• Knowledge of modeling entities, attribute types, cardinality, relationships, ER notations, and normalization and denormalization techniques
• Knowledge of UML a plus
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle Analysis Services, and DBA experience a plus
• Experience with visual analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, MicroStrategy) a big plus
