IT Software Asset Manager

We’re looking for an IT Software Asset Manager to be responsible for asset management across 5-6 data center sites. This will include cradle-to-grave asset management from identifying to decommissioning assets. It also will include development and oversight of asset management SOPs and creating associated documentation. Looking for candidates in the DC area (preferred), Columbia, SC, or Dallas, TX.

Qualifications:

• IT software asset management experience
• 5 years of HAM/SAM experience with at least 2 years of experience working on federal contracts
• Experience with ServiceNow (CMBD, ITAM)
• Excellent communication skills to communicate the importance and benefits of AM to all stakeholders
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently
• Must know how to prepare presentations/reports for senior management
• Proven ability working all levels in a matrix management environment
• ITIL and/or PM experience a plus

Hardware Experience:

• Hardware discovery and model normalization
• Hardware asset return merchandise authorization (RMA)
• Asset/CI management life cycle (cradle to grave)
• Creating ServiceNow hardware models/assets
• Bulk upload hardware assets to ALM table
• Familiarity with hardware contracts
• Asset management vs. configuration management
• Assets vs. consumables
• Asset audits
• Hardware contract financials

Software Experience:

• Software normalization
• Software entitlements, including license types and license metrics
• Software models, compliance, and discovery
• Working knowledge of SAMPro, including reclamation process and reconciliation
• Familiarity with software contracts
• License true-ups
• Familiarity with definitive media library
• Familiarity with software audits

Certifications:

• ServiceNow Administrator Certification
