Job Description


  • 5 years of IT experience including varied database administration experience
  • Experience with DB2 on AIX/Linux
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with data warehousing
  • Knowledge of applicable data management programming languages and tools
  • Ability to identify areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change and need to be developed
  • Knowledge of the methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions/operations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to configure database parameters and to diagnose and resolve performance problems


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other job-related degree OR
  • 4 years of job-related work experience OR
  • 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate degree in computer science, information technology, or other job-related degree


  • Identify and resolve information flow, content issues, and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models
  • Analyze and develop logical or physical database designs, data models, and relational data definitions in support of corporate systems requirements
  • Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends in data uses, and single sources of data
  • Help with mentoring and coaching/leading of team members
