Job Description


  • 1 to 3 years of experience working with an automated payroll system, plus additional training in accounting, business, and computer systems
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, math aptitude, 10-key, and strong PC skills
  • Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills


  • High school diploma


  • Keys semi-monthly payrolls for the company and district associations to include auditing, entering, and balancing the batches for the company and its member associations
  • Keys semi-monthly new hire and termination of benefits
  • Prepares accounts payable check requests and wires for payment of garnishments and miscellaneous deductions
  • Tests and add new garnishment deductions
  • Index payroll and benefit documents in iSynergy
  • Performs employment verifications
  • Verifies and balances semi-monthly PeopleSoft interface reports to Oracle
  • Quarterly reconciles and makes tax deposits
  • Reconciles audit monthly local tax reports and makes tax deposits
  • Updates the federal and state tax liability spreadsheets for the company and its member associations
  • Assists with the preparation of all quarterly and annual tax returns and W-2 preparation
