Software Systems Engineer (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Install server OS
• Apply OS patches and server applications
• Perform script development, languages, such as Ansible (YUML), Bash, Python, & PowerShell
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic work with peer IT support teams when needed to identify and fix issues
• Maintain operating systems software and applications, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and RHEL storage configuration, including SAN and NAS technology, VMware (bonus), Unitrends disk-based backup (bonus), and NetApp ONTAP (bonus)

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to work on a W-2

• 2 years of experience in server/storage technology
• Experience with:
  • Red Hat Linux (HEL6, RHEL7, RHEL8)
  • Satellite
  • Ansible Tower
  • Puppet
  • VMware
  • NAS/SAN storage concepts
  • NetApp ONTAP
  • TCP/IP network
  • IT Linux security

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science OR information systems is preferred
