Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintaining the company’s hardware and software systems and acting as a backup to the IT director in their absence
- Managing the company’s virtualized infrastructure based on VMware virtualization technology, including applying updates, reviewing performance, and commissioning or decommissioning servers, and performing all necessary and proper maintenance of hosts and operating systems under applicable best practices
- Analyzing the company’s existing network by optimizing existing configurations, making recommendations, and otherwise assisting in determining organizational system needs for business operations
- Assisting the IT director in planning and maintaining the company’s system-wide security
- Serving as the senior specialist on the IT help desk, including troubleshooting Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 issues as the need arises
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with IT systems support
Education/Certifications:
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
