Key Responsibilities:
- Provides engineering support for internal telecommunications long haul single mode fiber infrastructure
- Performs simple to moderately complex planning and evaluation of fiber optic networks
- Assists in network planning and development of standards and applications
- Recommends resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels
- Evaluates new products as assigned
- Works with individual business units on specific project assignments
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with:
- Fiber Splicer
- Writing statement of work/SOWs
- Outside fiber cable installation practices, both UG and ADSS
- Working knowledge of GIS mapping
- Effective computer skills, including AutoCad LT and Microsoft Office products (Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of or proficiency with Circuit Vision Fiber (CVFiber) is a plus
Location: Richmond, VA,
This job is primarily an onsite role. You will be required to work at an onsite location. This position may allow up to 50% remote work.
The salary range for this position is $45,000 – $65,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
