Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Break down complex data into meaningful definitions and create action plans relevant to the business
  • Build a framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of critical data through policies and standards, principles, quality metrics, processes, related tools, and data architecture
  • Build flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system, process, data flow representations
  • Profile data, resolve trends, patterns, inconsistencies, draw conclusions to conceptualize rules, and recommend business rules

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in data analysis, data governance, or data engineering
  • Strong understanding of data quality/governance principles
  • Prior data analysis/data profiling experience (quantifying the issue and identifying trends & patterns)
  • Experience with:
    • Performing data analysis leveraging SQL, Python, or other techniques to extract and analyze data from disparate platforms
    • Modern data platforms and tools (i.e., Collibra, Informatica, Actian, etc.)
  • Bonus points for DataOps/DevOps experience and development in React, Node, or .NET
  • A team player who can collaborate with others, but also run with a mostly self-contained project independently when required
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to breakdown sophisticated issues
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $115,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
