OpenShift Platform Engineer (Hybrid)

We're hiring a OpenShift Platform Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA, or Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with one week on site, one week remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and secure deployment practices
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the platform for high availability and resilience
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of containerized applications

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to work on a W-2
• 5 years of experience in software systems engineering, with a focus on container orchestration platforms
• Hands-on experience with platform deployment, configuration, maintenance, and automation
• Proven expertise in managing and operating Kubernetes platforms, especially Red Hat OpenShift environments and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG)
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and ecosystem, including hands-on experience with Kubectl, Helm, and other Kubernetes tools
• Experience with:
  • Secrets management
  • Logging tools
  • Deployment processes
  • CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Supporting other virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution

Education/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency

The hourly rate for this position is $50.44.
