Job Description


  • 5 years managing Windows systems in an enterprise environment
  • Post-secondary education in computer science or equivalent
  • Strong skills in supporting applications and systems, including hardware and software, custom-developed applications, and prepackaged commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications
  • Strong ability to research and recommend improvements to the organization’s hardware, software, and infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of the following Infrastructure components: servers, storage, and systems security best practices
  • Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge in the administration, management, security, and use of the following:  Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, MySQL, VMware, and Windows desktop operating systems
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and client management tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of security, patching, and overall maintenance methodologies and the ability to create new methodologies
  • Knowledge of mobile devices and device administration
  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • Windows-related designations/certifications
  • Working ability to effectively recognize and manage interpersonal communication needs
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple locations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Sound ethics and confidentiality with good customer service skills
  • Thorough analysis, judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize


  • Keep servers secured, tuned, and operational for optimal performance
  • Research, recommend, install, configure, upgrade, and administer hardware (server, storage, telephony, client, network) and peripherals to achieve operational requirements and project specifications
  • Perform daily backup operations
  • Manage user accounts (create, update, and remove access)
  • Monitor and assess systems to make sure that processes are operating as designed
  • Troubleshoot errors and fix system issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets, and other methods
  • Act as a technical resource
  • Create and maintain software and hardware inventories
  • Service and maintain infrastructure equipment within department and for other departments
  • Identify and evaluate industry trends in infrastructure to serve as a source of information and advice
  • Research and develop process improvements in dedication to continuous improvement
