Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, business, or related field and 3 years of experience in developing or coordinating the business continuity function
  • Associate Risk Management (ARM) Certification, Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) a plus
  • Experience with business continuity programs, such as business continuity in the cloud and wireless emergency notification systems
  • 3 years of experience with disaster recovery
  • Ability to plan and coordinate day-to-day contingency planning operations, system/database administration, and network operations
  • Good organizational skills for planning and prioritizing work
  • Works well independently or as part of a team
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to express technical information to users in a non-technical manner
  • Ability to write logical and comprehensible procedures and forms
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills for communicating to management, internal audit, user community, and security violators
  • Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail
  • Very strong in software/hardware communications knowledge
  • Understanding of both the mainframe and client-server environments

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze critical business functions, define scope and impact of operational scenarios, as well as design and implement enterprise-wide business continuity plans, including implementations of policies, procedures, communications, and the execution of safety and continuity management processes
  • Coordinate plans and activities with stakeholders
  • Assist and support associations as they develop their own plans and provide best practices to assist them with developing organization-wide business continuity programs
  • Analyze potential risks and business impacts that can result from different types of business disruptions
  • Monitor and report on compliance with business continuity program requirements
  • Perform monitoring in a timely way with documented follow ups regarding any violations or exceptions
  • Work with internal and external auditors to provide needed information and support
  • Coordinate the resolution of any quality assurance audit issues in a thorough and timely way
  • Assist and support our associations as they develop their own plans and provide best practices to assist them with developing organization-wide business continuity programs

Location: Hybrid schedule that will require working 3 days/week onsite in Columbia, SC
