Job Description

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) for a remote opportunity on our corporate team at TM Floyd & Company (TMF). Our corporate office is located in Columbia, SC, and we’re looking for a BDR to cover the SE region of the US. Candidates located in the SE, specifically NC, SC, GA, TN, or VA, are preferred.

We’re growing our sales team to cultivate business-to-business relationships with organizations and to sell TMF professional services.

The BDR will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Selling professional IT consulting and staff augmentation services
  • Increasing sales and market share within new accounts and territories
  • Prospecting and qualifying new clients
  • Developing new client relationships, establishing TM Floyd as trusted advisor in technical talent acquisition
  • Scheduling, coordinating, preparing, and conducting sales meetings, presentations, and proposals
  • Representing TMF at industry events and functions
  • Partnering with delivery team to qualify client hiring needs and deliver customized talent solutions

The BDR will have the following skills and abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, information systems, or other related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales and consulting experience
  • Experience in the IT professional services and/or technical recruiting industry
  • Experience in prospecting and generating new accounts, track record in exceeding quotas
  • Ability to listen to clients and understand their business needs
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High standard of professionalism, character, and integrity
  • Ability to work remote and travel, as needed
