AWS Cloud Architect (Remote)

We’re looking for an AWS Cloud Architect for a remote role.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience with cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or solution architecture
• 5 years of hands on experience with AWS and cloud native commercial SaaS products
• 5 years of experience designing complex distributed systems and enterprise cloud solutions
• Proven experience in cloud-native development
• Strong background in modernizing legacy systems using the Strangler Pattern
• Ability to host and operate solutions in customer-owned AWS accounts
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Proven ability to review and validate IaC code before deployment
• Experience with policy-as-code and automated compliance tools
• Familiar with automation-driven policy verification and enforcement

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain the AWS cloud environment to ensure security, scalability, operational resilience, and streamlined design across SaaS product architectures
• Lead cloud architectural direction and engage in governance
• Ensure alignment with AWS best practices and collaborate with engineering, product, security, and cloud operations teams
• Translate complex requirements into actionable designs while promoting innovation, cost efficiency, and technical excellence across the enterprise
• Create blueprints, resolve issues and review the work of other architects

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• AWS Solutions Architect – Professional Certification or similar
• Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer and additional AWS specialty or advanced certifications
• Master’s degree in a technology-related field is preferred

The salary range for this position is $165,000 – $180,000.
