COBOL Developer (Onsite)

We’re looking for a COBOL Developer for an onsite role in Columbia, SC.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
• 6 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience
• Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies, concepts, and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environment
• Strong analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within the Electronic Data Interchange Gateway(EDIG) team on the host side with a small team of developers
• Collaborate closely with the team lead on direction and job assignment
• Manage on-call responsibilities in addition to day-to-day tasks
• Support the EDIG process managing healthcare claims by interacting with a non-host team and operations team

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree

The hourly rate for this position is $57.34.
