Data Platform Engineer (Hybrid)

We're hiring a Data Platform Engineer join our team in Richmond, VA, or Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with 50% onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 7 years as a systems analyst supporting data analytics, data warehousing, and data science initiatives
• 7 years of hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries for analytical and reporting workloads
• 3 years of experience:
  • Designing data marts with strong expertise in dimensional modeling (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schemas)
  • Designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports
• Experience identifying and improving data engineering workflows, analytics lifecycle processes, and end-to-end data delivery using DataOps principles

Key Responsibilities:

• Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and documentation to guide technical implementation
• Coordinate and execute thorough testing, including end-user validation for new and enhanced systems
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports
• Provide training and orientation
• Create and deliver clear, effective presentations for technical and non-technical audiences

Education/Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

The hourly range for this position is $79.96.
