Document Accessibility Remediation Specialist (Remote)

We’re looking for a Document Accessibility Remediation Specialist for a remote role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and remediate web content, specifically in .docx and .pdf formats
• Ensure court forms are compliant with WCAG 2.1AA as applied through WCAG2ICT
• Review and remediate digital documents to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
• Ensure documents achieve full ADA compliance and pass accessibility validation tools and assistive technology testing
• Work independently to manage large volumes of documents

Skills & Qualifications:

• 7-12 years of experience in document accessibility testing and remediation
• 3 years of experience with:
  • Microsoft Word WCAG 2.1 AA Remediation (styles, headings, alt text, reading order)
  • PDF WCAG 2.1 AA Remediation (tagging, logical structure, forms, links)
  • Accessibility testing tools
• Ability to research laws, analyze policies and procedures, and interpret complex regulations
• Exceptional verbal and written communication
• Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure compliance
• Proficient with relevant technology, such as compliance management software and accessibility tools
• Manage sensitive information and situations
• Ability to train staff on creating compliant documents

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with court forms or orders
• UX compliance

Preferred Education/Certifications:

• CPACC
• IAAP ADS certification
• Appropriate education and work experience accepted

The salary range for this position is $125,000 – $140,000.
