System Analyst – Data Platform Engineering (Hybrid)

We're hiring a System Analyst – Data Platform Engineering to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role offers a hybrid schedule.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience facilitating executive-level stakeholder engagement and supporting large-scale technology transformation initiatives
• Proven ability to develop strategic roadmaps, business cases, governance frameworks, and long-term technology plans
• Strong expertise in strategic planning, portfolio and demand management, business process analysis, and decision-support methodologies
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership
• Working knowledge of enterprise data platforms, cloud and hybrid architectures, data warehousing, data integration, analytics, and business intelligence solutions
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, metadata management, data cataloging, security controls, access management, and data observability practices
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience within enterprise-scale data organization.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience in business analysis, technology strategy, portfolio management, product or platform management, data analytics, or a related discipline

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Platform Product Owners and business stakeholders to drive platform strategy, governance, portfolio management, and technology alignment across the enterprise
• Support the development, maintenance, and execution of multi-year platform roadmaps aligned with business objectives, technology priorities, and emerging industry trends
• Identify platform capability gaps, risks, dependencies, and investment opportunities while facilitating roadmap prioritization and strategic planning discussions
• Establish and support governance processes for platform investments, demand intake, prioritization, and portfolio management
• Evaluate, assess, and prioritize platform initiatives and capability requests, including development of business cases and investment recommendations
• Translate business objectives into platform capability requirements and ensure alignment with regulatory, operational, security, and strategic needs
• Collaborate with business leaders, architects, engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to drive cross-functional alignment and informed technology decisions
• Develop executive presentations, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting materials that support leadership reviews, governance forums, steering committees, and strategic decision-making
• Monitor portfolio performance, roadmap execution, benefit realization, and strategic objectives to ensure delivery of expected business and technology outcomes
• Support the establishment and adoption of platform standards, policies, governance frameworks, and best practices in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams
• Facilitate governance reviews, risk assessments, compliance activities, and audit support while promoting consistency in planning, prioritization, and technology management

Education/Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency

The hourly rate for this position is $62.57.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder with a strong background in strategic planning, data platform architecture, and stakeholder engagement. They should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to influence cross-functional teams, and experience in data governance and analytics. Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Oracle Exadata, and Power BI is a plus.
