Technical Writer (Hybrid)

We're hiring a Technical Writer to join our team in Columbia, SC, or Richmond, VA. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with 50% onsite. Candidates must be local to Columbia, SC, or Richmond, VA.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to work on a W-2; no C2C
• 5 years of directly related experience as a technical writer
• Experience with:
  • Procedure writing and technical writing
  • Project coordination/project management
• Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a department initiative to identify, consolidate, and modernize compliance procedures across multiple teams and a diverse range of technologies and devices
• Reduce fragmentation, eliminate duplicative procedures, and ensure compliance activities are consistently documented, managed, and updated
• Align procedures with a centralized Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application to drive standardization, improve transparency, and enhance audit readiness across the organization
• Streamline procedural content, reduce the overall number of procedures, and help establish a sustainable framework to keep documentation current, accurate, and consistently maintained over time

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Technical Writing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (especially for highly technical environments), Science or Business (when paired with strong writing experience), English, Professional Writing, or Communications

The hourly rate for this position is $45.41.
