z/VM Administrator (Hybrid)

We're hiring a z/VM Administrator to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
• 4 years of IT experience, including varied programming experience
• Proficiency in z/VM, RACF, Operations Manager, IBM Backup and Restore Manager, and IBM Tape Manager
• Nice to have: ServiceNow, REXX Coding, Linux skills, Jenkins, GitHub

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor system health by reviewing logs, monitoring alerts, and ensuring servers and critical services are running smoothly
• Perform operational support for the z/VM environment, including managing work tickets and performing upgrades
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises to ensure system resilience
• Collaborate with a team of 2-3 z/VM specialists within a larger 14-person team

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other job-related field, or 4 years of job-related work experience
